Volunteer

Volunteer

The participation in service learning volunteer activities will be given to the students regularly during scheduled meetings or via email and initial contacts will be made by the campus coordinator. The students will be responsible for scheduling their individual times and fulfilling their requirement. A Volunteer Activities Worksheet will be provided for each student so they can keep track of their progress and also for the campus coordinator to track the progress of the students. The Volunteer Activities Worksheet will include information regarding volunteer group, volunteer activity, contact name and number/email, date of activity, hours volunteered, and the signature of the on-site coordinator (not necessarily the SEED Coordinator). This signature verifies that the student has completed the volunteer activity.

SEED students have the opportunity for volunteer at a variety of areas; Goodwill Industries, local schools, local food pantries, YMCA, Fox Cities Housing Partnership, and Salvation Army. SEED scholars need to complete 160 hours volunteer requirement.
